The assembly has a secondary axle (12) assembled inside a principal external axle (11). A stop assembly (15) is assembled around a lag bolt (13) at a blind end of a crossing axle system to block the lag bolt in rotation. A locking assembly is assembled around the lag bolt at a free end of the axle system to block the axel system in translation. The lag bolt comprises a rod with a head (13b) and provided at a terrace (13c). The stop assembly is mounted around the rod at the site of the terrace. An independent claim is also included for a method for installing a connection assembly.
