A strip-shaped label body (strip-shaped body; 10) for dry batteries includes a strip-shaped heat-shrinkable label base (12) that shrinks by heat in the width direction of the strip-shaped body (10); a heat-sensitive adhesive layer (13) formed on the rear surface of the strip-shaped heat-shrinkable label base (12); and a print layer (14) that forms upper-end prints (14(+)) at upper ends of labels (11) for dry batteries. The labels (11) for dry batteries are connected such that the up-down directions thereof are parallel to the longitudinal direction of the strip-shaped body (10), and the up-down directions of two adjacent labels (11) are opposite to each other.
