PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner for developing an electrostatic latent image, the toner having low temperature fixability and excellent heat-resistant storage property (blocking resistance) and document offset resistance, and to provide a method for producing the toner.SOLUTION: The toner for developing an electrostatic latent image contains a binder resin and a colorant and is characterized in that: the binder resin includes an amorphous resin obtained from a radical polymerizable monomer unit containing a styrene-based monomer and a (meth)acrylate-based monomer, and a crystalline resin; and the toner shows, in the measurement with a differential scanning calorimeter, a ratio (Q2/Q1) of 0.85 or more, wherein Q1 represents an amount of absorbed heat based on an endothermic peak derived from the crystalline resin in a first temperature rising process from 0°C to 200°C, and Q2 represents an amount of absorbed heat based on an endothermic peak derived from the crystalline resin in a second temperature rising process from 0°C to 200°C. |
