PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toner in which electrification performance of a predetermined level can be maintained over a long period of time and a residual toner on a photoreceptor and an intermediate transfer belt can be removed smoothly.SOLUTION: The toner has an external additive with a particle size of less than 100 nm and fixed on the surface of a toner host particle, and an external additive with a particle size of 100-500 nm adhered to the surface of the toner host particle in a releasable manner.
