PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate device capable of retaining a longitudinal center side of a light guide plate on a support without preventing light diffusion inside the light guide plate in the light guide plate device having a plurality of light guide plates arranged in parallel, a light source device having the light guide plate device, a display device capable of equalizing luminance distribution at a center of a screen, and a television device including the display device.SOLUTION: The plurality of light guide plates 42, which are roughly rectangular shapes and have light entering from one short side and exiting from one main surface, are made to be supported by the support 41 at a plurality of rows so as to make long-side faces face each other. Holding bodies 22, 23, which hold the light guide plates 42 by engaging with the side-face sections of the longer sides of the light guide plates 42 at the center in the longitudinal direction of adjacent light guide plates 42, are arranged between adjacent light guide plates 42. Thus, the centers in the longitudinal direction of the light guide plates 42 can be prevented from bending so as to equalize diffusion of light in the light guide plates 42. |
