PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform authentication accurately in a biometric authentication process even if a placement position is flat-shaped.SOLUTION: A visible light source 31 presents the placement position of a finger through light emission, a light receiving sensor 35 receives the reflected light of the visible light of the visible light source 31 from the finger, a misalignment amount calculation part 55 calculates a misalignment amount from the placement position of the finger based on the light intensity of the reflected light received by the light receiving sensor 35, and a light emission control part 56 prompts correction to the placement position of the finger according to the misalignment amount calculated by the misalignment amount calculation part 55. The invention is applicable to an authentication device using veins of a finger. |
