PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To downsize an X-ray generating apparatus by decreasing the number of mirrors used for forming optical paths.SOLUTION: The apparatus is provided with a laser light source 10 for generating laser light, a light dispersing means 11 for dispersing the laser light generated from the laser source into a first laser light for accelerating electrons and a second laser light made to collide with the accelerated electrons, a generating means 16 for generating plasma in the first laser light in a vacuum chamber to generate gas as a medium for accelerating electrons, two mirrors 12a, 12b arranged at light paths L2 of the second laser light dispersed with the dispersing means so as not to interfere with the first laser light nor the second laser light, for setting the light paths L2 of the second laser light by adjusting respective positions and rotation angles, and a condensing means 13 for setting a position where the electrons accelerated with the use of the first laser light and the second laser light collide with each other. |
