PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a set of polarizing plates capable of thinning a liquid crystal display device further.SOLUTION: The set of the polarizing plates for the liquid crystal display device comprises a first polarizing plate 20 arranged on one surface side of a liquid crystal cell 40 and a second polarizing plate 30 arranged on the other surface side. The first polarizing plate 20 is formed by laminating a first polarizing film 21 comprising a polyvinyl alcohol resin and a protective film 25 comprising a transparent resin. The second polarizing plate 30 is formed by laminating a second polarizing film 31 comprising the polyvinyl alcohol resin and an antiglare film 34 whose haze value is ≥0.1% and ≤45%.
