PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical writing device which has simplified device constitution, an optical writing method that the optical writing device implements, a program and a recording medium.SOLUTION: The optical writing device includes a plurality of light-emitting means of outputting light beams according to image data; an image carrier where a latent image is formed by receiving the light beams; a light beam detecting means of generating a detection signal, by detecting light beams periodically scanned by a deflecting means; and a means of indicating output timings of image data by the light-emitting means, based on the detection signal so as to form the latent image on the image carrier. The light beam detecting means generates a detection signal, by detecting a light beam from one light emitting means which has been deflected by a single deflecting means, and the means of indicating an output timing indicates an output timing of image data by the other light-emitting means. |
