PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction when power supply is interrupted in updating a ROM without requiring neither complicated processing nor a surplus preservation area.SOLUTION: A CPU 33 deletes updated data from the head as long as power stored in a capacitor lasts when detecting the power supply interruption during ROM updating processing. The deletion is performed from the head so as to bring about a state that header information (file management area) does not exists. Then, the CPU cannot read the data when restarted. Consequently, there is no necessity for providing the surplus preservation area and a device for detecting an abnormality and complicating an operation in updating processing, thereby to prevent the malfunction. |
