PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data writing device for rewriting a control program in an electronic device having a recording device, without any dedicated control program rewriting tool, or any free space for recording the control program in the recording device.SOLUTION: The device comprises: a virtual recording device setting means that sets, from a work memory in a CPU, a region of the size equal to or larger than a control program, as a virtual recording device; a USB management means that recognizes the virtual recording device as a recordable device for a PC, after a USB mass storage function is executed, while a recording device is not recognized as a recordable device; a recording means that records a control program to the virtual recording device; and a transfer means that stops execution of the USB mass storage function after recording the control program to the virtual recording device, and that transfers the control program from the virtual recording device to a memory for storing the control program. |
