PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption before power-on of an electrical apparatus and appropriately detect power-on.SOLUTION: A magnet 92 of a detection unit 90a incorporated in a printer P moves interlocking the operation of turning on/off the power button B of the printer P. A low-level signal or a high-level signal is output according to the movement of th magnet 92 by means of a magnetic switch 94 placed facing the magnet 92 and a signal output circuit 90b. When a high-level signal is input from the signal output circuit 90b to a Latch terminal, a control IC 80 outputs a control signal for switching from an OUT terminal to a switching circuit 40. When a low-level signal is input to the Latch terminal, the control IC prohibits the output of a control signal from the OUT terminal. As a result, power-on can be detected without supplying power to the secondary side before power-on of the printer P. Therefore, it is possible to suppress wasteful power consumption before power-on and detect power-on. |
