PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a cooling hole by which a cooling hole is formed by heat-treating a mold while driving out the air present in the cooling hole opened in the mold.SOLUTION: The method includes: a working step of opening the cooling hole 2 in the mold 1; a filling step of filling a granular heat resistant material 15 into the cooling hole 2 opened by the working step; a plug attaching step of attaching a plug 5 in the cooling hole 2 filled with the heat resistant material 15 by the filling step; and a heat treatment step of heat-treating the mold 1 in which the plug 5 is attached in the cooling hole 2 by the plug attaching step. The plug 5 is provided with a vent hole 6, and the opening part 10 of the vent hole 6 has a rectangular shape made of a short side shorter than the diameter of the grains of the heat resistant material 15. |
