EYE DROP FOR TREATING EYE INFECTION CONTAINING LEVOFLOXACIN, SALT THEREOF OR THEIR SOLVATE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a levofloxacin eye drop for a new use method and use amount, healing eye infection within a shorter term than eye drops for conventional use methods and use amount so as to prevent the incidence of resistant bacteria and unincreasing expression rate of side effects.SOLUTION: There is provided thrice-a-day instillation of an eye drop containing 1.5% (w/v) levofloxacin, which is characterized in that bacterial conjunctivitis can be healed within a short term, compared with thrice-a-day instillation of 0.5% (w/v) eye drops of conventional use method and use amount, without increasing the incidence of side effects. As bacterial conjunctivitis can be healed within a short term, it is expected that the incidence of a resistant strain caused by the prolonged use of a levofloxacin-containing eye drop in the conventional method or dosage can be suppressed.
