The circuit (1) has a resistance module (2) switched in series to a motor inductor (5a), and an electronic switch (3) e.g. bipolar transistor, switched parallel to the resistance module. The resistance module includes a capacitor (2a) and resistor-capacitor-damping member (2b), where current passing through the motor inductor is detected by a current measuring and controlling device (4). Upper current threshold value or lower current threshold value for current and switch opening time are defined by the current measuring and control device. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for limiting current surge in motor inductance of an electrical operated machine or an electrical operated drive (2) a multi-channel circuitry comprising channels.
