The lid has an opening region or a closure cover (11) bounded by a peripheral tear-open notch (4), and a two-armed lever for breaking through the notch. An outer rim of the cover is non-positively connected to a collar part (5) made of plastic material. The collar part is engaged over a cover receiving part (10). A sealing snap-in locking connection is formed between the collar part and the receiving part. A pull tab (15) is fastened to a fixing region of the collar part radially outside the receiving part. The lever is formed by a partial peripheral region of the collar part. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing a can lid (2) a can for packaging of beverages.
