The device (1) has a sound-transmissive and waterproof membrane (3) connected with a flat edge (7) of a funnel-shaped membrane carrier (2), where the sound-transmissive membrane is made of PTFE. The membrane carrier comprises a large aperture (5) directed outwardly from an interior part of a hearing aid, and a small aperture (6) directed to the interior part of the hearing aid. The membrane carrier is manufactured as an injection molded part and releasably connected and welded with a hearing aid housing by a gasket. The membrane is covered by a shroud.
