PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera system in which information in an accessory can be rewritten without causing a malfunction in an interchangeable lens even in a state in which the accessory is mounted together with the interchangeable lens.SOLUTION: The camera system includes a camera body, the interchangeable lens, and the accessory to be mounted between the camera body and the interchangeable lens, wherein the accessory includes a signal processing part configured to process a signal input into the accessory, and a storage part configured to store information used when performing the signal processing. The accessory includes a communication blocking means configured to block communication from the camera body to the interchangeable lens when the information stored in the storage part is rewritten via the camera body.
