PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely suppress the degradation of image quality when driving a liquid crystal display device at a high refresh rate.SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 2 includes: one video signal line DL to which the drain electrode of a thin film transistor included in each of a plurality of pixels is connected; a scanning line drive part 8 for outputting an on voltage in a predetermined order to the gate electrodes of the thin film transistors of the respective pixels; and a data line drive part 6 for outputting a video signal voltage corresponding to each pixel through a video signal line. The data line drive part 6 outputs a gradation signal voltage having a voltage corresponding to the gradation value of the pixel as the video signal voltage in a first period of a video signal voltage output period, and outputs a correction gradation signal voltage having a voltage different from the gradation signal voltage as the video signal voltage in a second period before the first period. The liquid crystal display device 2 further includes a control part 4 for generating the correction gradation signal voltage on the basis of the gradation value of the pixel and the gradation value of one or several pixels preceding the pixel in order.
