PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing purified silicon by performing cleaning with an acid more effectively to reduce aluminum to be an impurity, more advantageously.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing purified silicon includes steps in the following order: melting step (S10) of heating silicon containing at least 7 wt.% of aluminum to obtain silicon melt; solidification step (S20) of solidifying the silicon melt to obtain silicon block; crushing step (S30) of crushing the silicon block to obtain silicon particles; cleaning step (S40) of acid cleaning by immersing the silicon particles in an acid solution at least for 3 hours. In the solidification step (S20), the average cooling rate to 1,350°C is at least 1.0×10°C/minute. |
