<p>Provided in the present invention are a method for a terminal initiating registration to a communication network, and the terminal thereof. The method includes: when the terminal tries to initiate registration to the communication network, the terminal sets the identification bit(s), set to the invalid state in the current subscriber identity module, of a circuit switching domain and/or packet switching domain, to the valid state; and the terminal initiates registration to the communication network which can be currently registered to. Application of the present invention simplifies the implementation process for a user re-registering to the communication network, and improves system efficiency and resource utilization rates.</p> |
