PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a connection terminal for a connector in which discoloration of Ag by sulfidization is prevented by forming an Ag alloy layer only at a necessary position, a stable contact resistance and a low coefficient of dynamic friction can be maintained even under high temperatures, and insertion/extraction performance is improved at a low cost.SOLUTION: The method includes: a process in which, after forming an Sn plated layer 6 on a base material 4 consisting of Cu or Cu alloy, a reflow treatment is carried out to form an Sn plated conductive material; a process in which the Sn plated conductive material is press-worked to form a connector material; a process in which an Ag covered part 8 is formed on a surface of the Sn plated layer 6 at a portion out of the connector material that becomes the terminal part 2 where the counterpart connector is inserted and extracted; and a process in which the Ag covered part 8 is heated by laser irradiation to alloy Sn of the Sn plated layer 6 with Ag of the Ag covered part 8 to form an Ag-Sn alloy covered part 7.
