PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facility information management system with assured acquirement of a plant operating situation from a plant monitoring control system with a name of equipment as a key even when the names of the equipment do not completely match with the plant monitoring control system.SOLUTION: The facility information management system acquires information of the plant operating situation from the plant monitoring control system 300 with the associated equipment name as the key by: breaking down the association subject equipment name specified by a facility information managing terminal 200 and a monitoring equipment name that is registered in a signal item data file 102 for monitoring plant equipment into word units by respectively carrying out morphological analysis by an equipment name narrowing down means 110; extracting the equipment name with the highest matching degree in respective word units; associating both the association subject equipment name and the monitoring equipment name by making a degree of matching higher by an association means 130 by identifying the name expressing a function provided in the equipment which is also commonly used in the plant monitoring control system by an association candidate extraction means 120.
