PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a touch panel manufacturing method for reliably preventing wiring located outside a sealed part from being cut even in removing micro-crack or flaw generated at the end of a cut glass substrate by etching, and to provide a touch panel.SOLUTION: In manufacturing a touch panel 1, large glass substrates from which a plurality of first and second glass substrates 10 and 20 are cut are bonded to each other with sealing materials 31 before cutting, and the first and second glass substrates 10 and 20 are etched to remove micro-crack or flaw on the cut face. Before the sealing materials 31 are arranged on a first large glass substrate 110, a protection film 45 covering wiring 160 and a mounting terminal 161 is formed in the area to be sealed by the sealing material 31 that overlaps at least the outer peripheral edge. After etching, the protection film 45 is removed to expose the mounting terminal 161. |
