PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a job and to secure stability of an apparatus.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 100 is equipped with: a constant voltage generation circuit 104 which generates predetermined voltage based on power supplied from a commercial power source 101; an AC switch 102 which is provided on a current path that connects the commercial power source 101 and the constant voltage generation circuit 104 together, and switches opening/closing of the current path based on operation from a user; a relay circuit 103 which is provided on a current path that connects the commercial power source 101 and the constant voltage generation circuit 104 together and is parallel with the AC switch 102, and which switches on/off of power supply; a detection part 141 which detects operation for turning off the AC switch 102; and a shutoff controller 142 which controls timing to turn off the relay circuit 103 based on the pattern of the operation of the AC switch 102 detected by the detection part 141. |
