PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method allowing an image which is excellent in smoothness and texture and free of granularity to be obtained.SOLUTION: The image forming method includes: a colored toner developing step of forming a toner image by developing with colored toner an electrostatic latent image formed on the surface of an image carrier; a transparent toner-developing step of aligning the thickness of the toner image to the maximum thickness of the toner image of the colored toner by transparent toner on a region where two or more layers of toner images are formed by the colored toner; a first transfer step of transferring the toner image formed by the colored toner and the toner image formed by the transparent toner to an intermediate transfer body; a film-forming step of pressing the toner image transferred on the intermediate transfer body to film; and a second transfer step of transferring the film toner image onto the surface of a transferred body. The colored toner and the transparent toner are pressure-plastic toner.
