PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a processing liquid stays near a nip part between an application roller and a squeezing roller, utilization efficiency of the processing liquid falls, and unevenness of coating generates.SOLUTION: After the processing liquid is applied on a medium to be recorded, an operation which sets and rotates the rotational speed of the squeezing roller 233 at a faster speed than the rotational speed of the application roller 232 while the squeezing roller 233 is rotated under a condition that the application roller 232 and a conveying roller 235 are separated, and an operation which separates the squeezing roller 233 and the application roller 232, are performed, and the processing liquid staying near the nip part between the squeezing roller 233 and the application roller 232 is collected into a processing liquid tray 234 by the rotational operation of the squeezing roller 233. |
