PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for eliminating "a deviation in height" between first and second carriages when the deviation in height occurs, in a state where both carriages are separated from each other while drive connection between both elevating means is interrupted, in a recording device in which the first carriage and the second carriage can be separated/connected from/to each other, and heights of both head holders are adjusted by the elevating means which are driven in common, in accordance with the thickness of a recording paper in a state where both carriages are connected to each other.SOLUTION: One of the elevating means is secured to be driven even in such a state that the carriages are separated from each other, and then, the height of the head is adjusted by using the elevating means to eliminate "deviation". |
