PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charged particle beam irradiation apparatus improved in positioning accuracy of an object to be irradiated in an irradiation room.SOLUTION: In an irradiation room 103, annihilation γ-ray generated from a position where a radiopharmaceutical injected into an object 51 to be irradiated reaches, is detected to detect an irradiation target position being the destination of the radioactive medicament, and also annihilation γ-ray from positron emission nuclei generated by a nuclear reaction between the charged particle beam irradiated to the object 51 to be irradiated and nuclei in the object 51 to be irradiated are detected to detect a position where the charged particle beam practically reaches. Thus, in the irradiation room 103, a position displacement between the irradiation target position and the position where the charged particle beam practically reaches can be corrected by confirming an irradiation target position and a position where the charged particle beam practically reaches, so that the object 51 to be irradiated is positioned at a suitable position. |
