PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a lightning surge voltage using a less circuit parts, and to insulate a leak current, in a lightning surge protection circuit for an electronic apparatus, such as an air conditioner.SOLUTION: This lightning surge protection circuit has inductor components L1 and L2 which are connected between AC input lines (live line 1 and neutral line 2) and a power factor improving circuit and a rectifier circuit 5. The inductor components L1 and L2 and a power factor improving a circuit inductor L3 connected in series with them are considered as a single inductor; an arrestor is inserted between the in-phase input output terminals of the composite inductor; and when a high surge voltage is induced in the inductor of the AC input line, the surge voltage is discharged for suppression. |
