PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a plasma display panel having a display performance of high definition and high luminance, while being of low power consumption.SOLUTION: As for the plasma display panel, a protection layer 9 has a base film 91 formed on a dielectric layer 8, and coagulation particles 92 in which a plurality of crystal particles 92a of magnesium oxide are coagulated are adhered on the base film 91. Further, the base film 91 is formed of a metal oxide consisting of at least two or more oxides selected from magnesium oxide, calcium oxide, strontium oxide, and barium oxide. The metal oxide has a peak existing between the minimum angle of diffraction and the maximum angle of diffraction generated from a simple substance of the oxide constituting the metal oxide of a specific orientation surface, in the X-ray diffraction analysis of the base film 91 surface. The width of an address electrode of a discharge cell in which at least one phosphor out of red, green, and blue are formed is made to be different from the widths of the other address electrodes. |
