Conventionally, it has been important to rotatably mount a lens on a housing without a backlash. The present invention has been made in view of this circumstance, and aims to provide a vehicle room lighting device having a lamp housing 2 and a lamp lens 3. An elastic piece 12 having a predetermined elasticity in a direction of a rotary shaft O-O of the lamp lens 3 is provided at the lamp lens 3. A shaft portion 15 is provided at the elastic piece 12. A shaft hole 23 is provided at the lamp housing 2. The shaft portion 15 is inserted into the shaft hole 23 so as to be rotatable around the rotary shaft O-O of the lamp lens 3. As a result, the vehicle room lighting device according to the present invention is capable of rotatably mounting the lamp lens 3 on the lamp housing 2 without a backlash.
