Provided is a method for manufacturing an optical fiber grating comprising first and second gratings which configure an optical resonator, wherein the first grating is formed by applying ultraviolet light to an optical fiber such that the irradiation intensity (Z) satisfies the following expression (1): Z=(??S/x+0.04556Y2+1.2225Y)/(0.05625Y2+1.6125Y) ... (1) where Z is the irradiation intensity (mJ/mm2) of the ultraviolet light; ??S is the maximum change amount of the reflection center wavelength of the first grating, the maximum change amount being permissible in so far as the reflection wavelengths of the first grating and the second grating overlap each other; x is the change amount (nm/°C) of the reflection center wavelength per temperature change of 1°C in the first grating; and Y is the intensity (W) of guided light.
