The invention relates to a method and to a device for recovering the heat content of building wastewater, wherein the wastewater is collected in a storage tank (1) in which fatty substances, solids, and sediment sludge are substantially separated from the wastewater and disposed of in a wastewater disposal facility, such as a public sewer. The openings (15, 16, 17) of the feed and drain lines (2, 6, 7) in the storage tank (1) are designed and positioned in such a way that a temperature stratification develops in the storage tank (1). Warm wastewater is fed from the upper third of the wastewater in the storage tank to a downstream water/water heat pump (5) directly or through at least one intermediately connected heat exchanger (4). The wastewater cooled by the water/water heat pump (5) or in the heat exchanger (4) is fed back to the storage tank (1). In the event of additional heat demand, cold wastewater is fed from the lower third of the wastewater in the storage tank (1) to an ice heat pump (8), and the wastewater loaded with ice crystals from the ice heat pump (8) is fed to the wastewater disposal facility by means of a rinsing device (10), the rinse water (19) of which is drawn from the lower third of the wastewater of the storage tank (1). |
