A printer with a Universal Serial Bus (USB) interface and a method and a system for installing a driver of the printer. The printer includes the USB interface(18) and a printing mechanism(12), and also includes: a controller(13); a first memory(15), connected with the controller(13), storing the driver of the printer. Wherein, the first memory(15) also stores a device flag, types of the device flag involve a storing device flag and a printing device flag; the device flag can be amended by the controller. The printer can expediently install the driver of a USB device.
