<p>An input device (200) includes a base (202), a top panel (204), a sensor array (206) and a processing module. The top panel (204) overlays the base (202) and includes multiple operating areas (A1-A9). The sensor array (206) includes multiple sensors (S1-S9), which are arranged below the top panel (204) in an array, and each sensor detects respectively the status of the corresponding one among the operating areas. When any operating area is touched, the sensor corresponding to the touched operating area is enabled, thus the detecting signal with a first status is output to the processing module.
