PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely displace a holding part that holds a detachable component to a required mounting completion position with closing operations of an opening/closing part, even if the holding part that holds the detachable component can be shifted to a different position inside an image forming apparatus body.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: the detachable component which can be freely attachably/detachably loaded into the apparatus body; the opening/closing part for opening/closing the opening of the apparatus body in the case of attaching/detaching the detachable component; the holding part that holds the detachable component so that the detachable component can be displaced between the detachment operating position and the mounting completion position linked with the opening/closing operations of the opening/closing part, and in which the mounting completion position is changed to a primary/secondary mounting completion positions with the movement inside the apparatus body; and a connection part that is provided to the opening/closing part, and in which a guide groove is formed to guide a projecting portion when the holding part is displaced to the detachment operating position and the mounting completion position. The guide groove of the connection part includes a narrow portion through which the projecting portion is caused to pass in the middle of displacement of the holding part from the detachment operating position to the mounting completion position. The narrow portion has a groove width which is narrower than the outer dimension of the projecting portion. |
