PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a floating and sinking body which sinks to a depth at a target arrival point when observing underwater data, and subsequently floats onto the sea by itself.SOLUTION: This floating and sinking body 10 includes: a floating and sinking body 11; an observing sensor 18 of ocean data provided to the floating and sinking body 11; a depth indicator 19 provided to the floating and sinking body 11; and communication equipment 14 for transmitting the observation data and depth data and measuring positioning. The floating and sinking body 10 includes: a pressure resistant shell 12 formed in part of the floating and sinking body 11 to impart buoyancy to the floating and sinking body 11; a flotation adjusting rod 23 provided to the pressure resistant shell 12 and provided retractably from the pressure resistant shell 12; and a flotation adjusting mechanism 24 to control a retracting amount of the flotation adjusting rod 23. |
