PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To verify the operation of a sampling device for calculating an average value.SOLUTION: There are provided: this detector detecting the length of an equalization period in the sampling device which equalizes and outputs values of measuring object signals on each trigger in the designated equalization period, including a periodic signal supply part which supplies a periodic signal to the sampling device, a trigger supply part which supplies the sampling device with a plurality of triggers different in a phase from the periodic signal, and a determination part which determines whether the equalization period is a period of the periodic signal, based on a plurality of average values of the periodic signals which the sampling device outputs according to the triggers in a plurality; a measuring device; and a method for detection. |
