PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a unit for CARS light which is added on a laser microscope used only for multiphoton fluorescent observation without changing a constitution of the laser microscope so as to add a function for CARS light observation.SOLUTION: The unit 1 for CARS light includes: an optical path branching means 15 that is inserted in an optical path between a light source light frequency dispersion means 4 and a microscope body 6 of the multiphoton fluorescent microscope 2, and branches a part of a pulse laser beam from the optical path, the multiphoton microscope including the light source light frequency dispersion means 4 applying frequency dispersion to the pulse laser beam emitted from a laser light source 3 and the microscope body 6; a branched light frequency dispersion means 17 that applies the frequency dispersion to the pulse laser beam; a frequency conversion means 18 that converts the frequency of the pulse laser beam; and a multiplexing means 16 that is inserted in the optical path, and multiplexes the pulse laser beam frequency-converted by the frequency conversion means 18 with the pulse laser beam passed through the optical path. |
