ELECTROPHORETIC DISPLAY AND DRIVE METHOD THEREOF

An electrophoretic display (100) and a drive method thereof are provided, wherein the method includes: setting each pixel electrode (30) in the electrophoretic display (100) to correspond to one pixel; determining the drive waveform of the electrophoretic display (100) according to the beginning gray scale and the ending gray scale of the pixel; applying the display signal of the drive waveform to the pixel electrode (30); controlling the pixels whose gray scales need to be changed. The method includes at least one gray scale drive step, and each drive step corresponds to one gray scale change direction. The ending gray scale in the gray scale change direction to which the last drive step corresponds is gently changed gray scale. The electrophoretic display and the drive method thereof can, in refreshing frames, realize more exact gray scale change control and keep DC balance.
