The method involves detecting measurement data with a relative rotational motion between a radiation source (C2) i.e. X-ray source, of a computer tomography (CT) system (C1) and an investigation object i.e. human heart. A complete measurement data set of the investigation object is calculated using motion information concerning the investigation object to be determined. An incomplete measurement data set of the investigation object is computed for an image reconstruction using the motion information. A resulting image is calculated from two images. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a control and computing unit for reconstructing image data of an investigation object (2) a computer program product having a set of instructions for reconstructing image data.
