PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a structure for mounting a liquid cartridge which can prevent and restrain a cartridge-side connection terminal and a printer-side connection terminal from being worn or damaged due to a slide when the liquid cartridge is mounted.SOLUTION: In a little while before an ink cartridge 20 is mounted in a cartridge mounting part 8, the surface 36a of the cartridge-side connection terminal comes into contact with the printer-side connection terminal 71 by small pressing force since there is predetermined play in the direction perpendicular to the mounting direction A of the ink cartridge 20. When the printer-side connection terminal 71 is moved to the mounting direction A together with the ink cartridge 20, the play becomes smaller gradually as it is pushed to the mounting direction A and the ink cartridge 20 is positioned. The pressing force between the surface 36a of the cartridge-side connection terminal and the printer-side connection terminal 71 is increased. Finally, the surface 36a of the cartridge-side connection terminal comes into contact with the printer-side connection terminal 71 by sufficient pressing force to form an electrically conductive state. |
