PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a magnetic sensor which can improve the detection accuracy of an object to be detected.SOLUTION: The magnetic sensor 1, in which a sensor chip 5 having magnetoresistive elements 5a-5d, is arranged in a bias magnetic field generated by bias magnets 2 and 3, and which obtains the change of the bias magnetic field associated with the change of the relative positions between the teeth 51 of a rotor 50 and the magnetoresistive elements detected by the magnetoresistive elements, includes a pair of bias magnets 2 and 3, arranged opposite to each other and having parts which face the teeth 51 and keeps N magnetic poles; and an auxiliary magnet 4, which is arranged between the bias magnets 2 and 3 and has magnetic poles oriented in the same direction as those of the bias magnets. The sensor chip 5 is arranged between the bias magnets 2 and 3. |
