PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine where accuracy in determining degradation of a catalyst is improved.SOLUTION: The control device for the internal combustion device includes: an accelerator aperture detection sensor 10 that detects an accelerator aperture; a bypass passage 30 that is connected with an exhaust passage 3 by bypassing a turbine 500 of a supercharging air 5 disposed on the exhaust passage 3; an on-off valve 31 that opens and shuts the bypass passage 30; a catalyst 32 that is disposed on the bypass passage 30; a fuel supply means 40 that can supply fuel to the catalyst 32; temperature sensors 17, 18 that can detect a temperature of exhaust before and after the exhaust is flowed into the catalyst 32; and an ECU 8 that executes a degradation determination processing for determining the catalyst 32 based on a result detected by the temperature sensors 17, 18 after the bypass passage 30 is opened and the fuel is supplied to the catalyst 32, and prohibits the execution of the degradation determination processing and releases the prohibition of the degradation determination processing according to the accelerator aperture when the degradation determination processing is required. |
