PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of turning-up and chipping of a lubricant leveling blade, concerning a configuration such that an excessive lubricant in a lubricant supply device is discharged to the outside.SOLUTION: In the configuration wherein the excessive lubricant can be re-supplied to a surface of a photoreceptor 21 by a lubricant applying brush 52 and at least during image forming operation, the excessive lubricant is conveyed to the outside by an excessive lubricant conveying screw 56, control, to stop discharging the lubricant by the excessive lubricant conveying screw 56b, is performed even during the image forming operation when a predetermined conveyance stop condition (such as when temperature or humidity is high or when an image area rate is equal to or less than a predetermined value) is met. |
