PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnosis device for an exhaust gas recirculating device that can diagnose exhaust leakage more properly.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 1 includes the exhaust gas recirculating device 20 including a recirculating passage 21 that recirculates part of the exhaust in an exhaust passage 6 into an air intake passage 4 as EGR gas; a control valve 23 that adjusts a flow rate of the EGR gas; and an EGR cooler 22 having a temperature sensor 25. An electric control apparatus 30 determines that exhaust leakage from the recirculating passage 21 occurs when an absolute value of difference between the temperature of the EGR gas detected by the temperature sensor 25 while the control valve 23 is being opened and the temperature of the EGR gas detected while the valve is being perfectly closed is below a predetermined value. |
