PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire vulcanizer capable of stopping opening/closing of a mold even at the occurrence of abnormality of a drive mechanism and a brake in the tire vulcanizer adapted to open/close the mold by a lifting means using an efficient ball screw shaft or the like.SOLUTION: The tire vulcanizer 1 is adapted to rotate the ball screw shaft 55a by a drive mechanism 59 to lift a ball nut 55b in a vertical direction to thereby lift an upper mold mounting member 20 holding an upper mold 11, and to stop lifting of the upper mold mounting member 20 by fixing the ball screw shaft 55a by a non-excitation operated electromagnetic brake 57 directly coupled to the ball screw shaft 55a independently of the drive mechanism 59. |
