PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem wherein, a search time of approximately several minutes is generally required until a direction is determined because a satellite search requires an operation for finding the direction of a high receiving intensity while rotating an antenna, and a blocking state is brought when there is an object in the satellite direction and the antenna cannot be directed accurately in the satellite direction.SOLUTION: A satellite search-time shortening method has: a heading-angle direct input mode directly inputting a heading angle by a user as a first indicating method; and a mode acquiring the direction of movement of a mobile body by a GPS and using the direction of movement of the mobile body as the heading angle as a second indicating method. The satellite search-time shortening method also has a satellite searching mode rotating the antenna and searching an angle maximizing the receiving intensity as a third indicating method. The satellite search-time shortening method carries out the second indicating method when the first indicating method cannot be achieved, and carries out the third indicating method when the second indicating method cannot be achieved. The bearing angle of the antenna to a satellite is thus acquired, the antenna is directed in the satellite direction, and the tracking of the satellite is continued. |
