PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of reducing the number of components to achieve reduction in cost and reducing flexure of a transfer roller to stably form a transfer nip between a toner image carrier and it.SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes: an intermediate transfer belt (a toner image carrier) rotationally supported by a body frame 29; a transfer unit rotationally supporting a transfer roller; and biasing means 32 (a pressurization lever 34 and a pressurization spring 35) biasing the transfer unit toward the transfer belt side. A U-shaped positioning recess part 29b is formed in the body frame 29, and the transfer roller is positioned by bringing positioning rollers (positioning members) 28 attached to axial both ends of the transfer roller into contact with the positioning recess part 29b of the body frame 29 via three points P1, P2, and P3. |
